Spinning and spinning...

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 8, 2008, 10:38 AM
Currently I am in the process of completely updating my gallery with all my handspun yarns which are missing at the moment. Afterwards I will hopefully keep it up to date again. :)

There has been so much going on spinning-wise and I have managed to spin a good few really interesting art yarns as well as lots and lots of snuggly soft hand dyed and handspun yarns.

If you see something you'd like to get your hands on, please stop by my shop:

I also (not as often as I'd like) maintain a blog:

...and under the same name I am on ravelry, flickr and craftster.

I love your work! If I wasn't so insanely poor I'd buy several pieces. I'm a macrame artist and I love using tight yarn (stuff that won't fall apart when I tie it), hemp, ribbon, and other similar material. :-D And mixing them up in the same piece is always satisfying. Hmmmm...when I get money I will have to order some of your work!

Are they for sale?

Well, right now I don't have anything really specific. I've been through quite a few moves myself and lost a lot of my spinning supplies in the last one. I'm just now starting to look for suppliers again, anyway. I haven't looked at etsy...I'll check it out.

It'd probably be easier if I lived in the country up north somewhere, but nope. I'm a city girl in South Texas. Winter is when the temperature dips below 40 for two seconds each night. I think a sheep would suffocate well before it got a good coat of wool on it.

lol, your comment made me smile. I'm just now slowly re-opening my shop, as I had a major move to be done and have now sort of settled (but still no Internet). I don't really sell my roving, as I think it's a hell of a lot of work and the prices others charge for it cannot do it justice. And I don't really want to charge insane prices either...

I bow before lace spinning skills, I just don't really have the patience for it, lol.
On etsy are some lovely people selling spinning supplies, did you look there? But don't get me wrong, if you got something very specific in mind I'd be quite happy to dye a little lot for you. :D

...I've been on this damn website for nearly THREE YEARS and I JUST NOW figured out that there might be other spinners on it. Your yarns make my fingers itch, both because I'd LOVE to knit with it and because I'd kill to work with roving that pretty.

I checked your store and sadly, it appears closed. You don't happen to sell any of the roving, do you? I'd love the yarn too, but I'm more desperate for spinning supplies than anything else. I do lace-knitting and spin because I can't find lace-weight yarn light enough to work with in my home-town.
